Privacy Policy

• Your Reddit user ID and username, provided by Reddit when you open a game post while logged in. The app never sees your email, password, or anything outside Reddit.
• The subreddit and post you opened the game from.
• If you are logged out, the app receives no identity at all. You can still play.

• Your results for each daily puzzle: the date, difficulty tier, the moves you made (a short replay string), the score the server computed from them, and the style tags earned.
• Your progress: lessons completed, best results, attempt counts, and your streak ("The Winding") as a per-day bitfield.
• Leaderboards: your best score per day, ranked against other players of the same subreddit.
• Entitlements (only if paid products exist in a future version): which Reddit Gold products you own.

All of this lives in Reddit's Redis storage for the app, scoped to the subreddit the app is installed in. Nothing is sent to any server outside Reddit — the app makes no external network calls.

• No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no trackers, no cookies of our own.
• No access to your votes, browsing history, subscriptions, messages, or other subreddits.
• No sale or sharing of data with anyone. Arkynate sees only aggregate usage statistics that Reddit itself provides to app developers.

If you win a puzzle while logged out, the app keeps that one result in your browser's local storage (key gridlock-pending-win-v1) for up to 48 hours so it can be credited to your account if you log in. Nothing else is stored in the browser.

The app only acts on your behalf when you explicitly tap a button for it: "Comment my result" posts a comment under the day's puzzle containing your verified score and tags (spoiler-tagged). It never posts, votes, subscribes, or messages without that tap.

• If a game post or a result comment is deleted, the app deletes its records tied to that post or comment.
• If you delete your Reddit account, Reddit removes your identity; the app purges records for deleted accounts when Reddit signals it. You can also ask us to delete your data at any time (below).
• Uninstalling the app from a subreddit abandons that subreddit's storage.

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. Reddit's own age requirements apply.

If this policy changes, the effective date above changes and the new version ships with the next app update, which Reddit reviews before release.
