Server-side checks run on a tier-appropriate schedule every day, even when your phone is closed. Push alerts on failure, Lock Screen Live Activity for the active incident, full history synced back to the device. Sign in with Apple — no password, no email harvesting.
WHAT IT DOES
Validate, don't just ping
Match an HTTP status code, search the response body for a keyword, or assert a specific JSON field. Methods: GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, HEAD. PingOps marks a check 'healthy' on the rules you actually care about, not just whether the socket opened.
Glance from the lock screen
Live Activities surface active incidents — Snooze 10m, Snooze 1h, or Open straight into the failure timeline without unlocking. Notifications stay quiet by default: one rolling count, never per-endpoint spam. Pro/Archon adds per-endpoint pushes with a 15-minute reminder while it stays down.
Two-level groups · drag-and-drop
Production, Staging, Personal — with optional inner groups. Each group gets a tinted accent rail, an aggregate health pill, and an SLO target if you want one. Drag an endpoint between groups to reparent.

Copy a checked-and-validated endpoint to a teammate or partner over AirDrop or Messages. One tap to import. Auth-token redaction is on by default, so accidental shares don't leak credentials.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The on-device checker stores everything locally — no account, no telemetry. Cloud monitoring is strictly opt-in per endpoint. Custom request headers and request bodies are encrypted at rest with per-user AES-256-GCM (key derived via HKDF from your Sign in with Apple identifier), so even an operator with raw database access cannot read your auth tokens. Default failure alerts are aggregate-only — a count, never endpoint names.

LIMITATIONS WORTH KNOWING
Local checks run only while the app is open. iOS doesn't let third-party apps poll endpoints continuously in the background — Cloud monitoring fixes that gap on your tier's cadence.
Not enterprise-grade synthetic monitoring. PingOps is for quick, glanceable answers — not multi-region SLO compliance with executive reports.
Bot-defended hosts may reject Cloud checks. Google, Cloudflare-protected sites, and Akamai-protected sites often reject automated traffic from cloud IPs. If you're monitoring one, point PingOps at a /health or /status endpoint — the app surfaces a tailored failure reason when this happens.
